The 2015 Mailly-Champagne is bright, critalline and wonderfully taut. Mineral and floral notes abound, while fruit is very much in the background. Mi rabelle plum, eau de vie, jasmine, white pepper and crushed rocks give the 2015 its incredibily distinctive upper register. This cool, late-ripening site planted in the 1950s yields a Pinot that is all about nerviness and energy.
