The 2017 Extra Brut Sans Soufre Presence represents the height of vinous intensity in Champagne. An unusual blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, all from the 2017 harvest, the Presence is loaded with character. The flavors are taught, brisk and intense from start to finish. Presence is a Champagne of extraordinary beauty. Given some time to open, the bubbles dissipate and what is left is truly a wine. That is not always the experience I personally look for, but the Sans Soufre Presence is truly stunning. Disgorged: September, 2019.
